Pasta Please - March Challenge

Pasta is a regular feature on Meal Plans in our house, it is quick to cook and endlessly versatile.  I am delighted to be hosting Pasta Please this month, the challenge created by Jac from Tinned Tomatoes.

In honour of lovely Jac and her awesome vegetarian blog, you really must check it out, the theme this month is:

Tomatoes!

You can use fresh, tinned, roasted, sundried or otherwise prepared tomatoes in your pasta dish.  Whip up a delicious meal, blog about it, then linky up with the linky below.

Super Speedy Pasta and Vegetables

This is the dinner my husband will cook and serve should he need to feed the kids and himself in a hurry. It is cheap, quick to make and tasty.  He can get it on the table within 20 minutes from whine to dine.

500g dried pasta
500g frozen mixed vegetables
750ml homemade pasta sauce (a jar from the supermarket is fine)
leftover sausages or other additions (optional)

Put a large pan of salted water on to boil, cook the pasta according to the instructions on the pack adding the mixed vegetables half way through the cooking time.  Drain the pasta and vegetables once they are cooked, stir through the pasta sauce and any other additions.  Heat through then serve topped with grated cheese.
