My mom made me some great cakes that I did not truly appreciate until a few years ago!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-22011492560589901082012-04-04T21:10:24.958+01:002012-04-04T21:10:24.958+01:00wouah ~ impressed ! it s really beautiful :)wouah ~ impressed ! it s really beautiful :)aurelienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-59522447299200444032012-04-04T09:15:40.849+01:002012-04-04T09:15:40.849+01:00That is beautiful, well done youThat is beautiful, well done youJen Walshawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07374363403295342745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-37676312367110430892012-04-03T17:13:23.726+01:002012-04-03T17:13:23.726+01:00I'm sure you cake will be fab! Post a pic & blog it once you are done :o)Utterly Scrummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173024594217039587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-51849798578006314842012-04-03T16:17:38.307+01:002012-04-03T16:17:38.307+01:00Thanks :-) In the end, I borrowed some inspiration...Thanks :-) In the end, I borrowed some inspiration from your recipe (usually milk to slacken the mixture a little) and cheated a bit by using Stork instead of real butter, which made for a much easier batter to work with. It's Operation Cake Decoration tonight - will be nothing as professional as your stunning efforts though! ;-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03872836482789045975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-79687703554556357862012-04-02T14:52:05.406+01:002012-04-02T14:52:05.406+01:00Hiya! :o)

I poured in a little cake batter to start with and gave the mold a jiggle to make sure it filled the nooks and crannies before slowly filling it completely. If you fill the mold slowly then the weight of the mix will make sure there are no bits of the pattern without cake batterUtterly Scrummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173024594217039587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8587928298474773312.post-79353025553399323442012-04-02T14:37:35.847+01:002012-04-02T14:37:35.847+01:00That looks amazing! It was alright and will do the job, but not great. The mixture was quite stiff and didn't spread to fill the cells in my silicon train shaped cake pan all that well. So do I try your version or stick with the one I have? Oh me, decisions, Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03872836482789045975noreply@blogger.com
