No Waste Food Challenge - June and July

Thursday 2 June 2016

I was delighted to be asked to host No Waste Food Challenge in June and July whilst Elizabeth goes on an epic Summer adventure.  I am in total awe of Elizabeth as she has set herself quite a challenge!

To raise money for the RNLI, Elizabeth is planning to cycle from Britain's most northerly lifeboat station in Aith, Shetland, south through Orkney and the Highlands of Scotland to Fort William, and to climb Ben Nevis!  She'll be undertaking the challenge in June 2016.  Please donate if you can, all donations are very much appreciated.

You can follow Elizabeth's adventures on her website - Elizabeth's Kitchen Diary, or through Instagram and Twitter where she will be sharing photos and updates on her progress and travels.

No Waste Food Challenge is a monthly blog linky dedicated to cutting food waste and making use of leftovers.  Link up any recipe which uses up any ingredients which otherwise might have gone to waste. Tell us how you salvaged stale bread, bendy carrots, wilted greens, spotty brown bananas, leftover dinner, etc!

An astonishing quantity of food is thrown out of kitchens every day in the UK and across the world. This doesn’t need to happen. With a little creativity even the most random of ingredients can be transformed into delicious, mouthwatering dishes.  Inspire others with your culinary creativity, and help lessen food waste at the same time.
